Home-based medical transcription can be really straining? Why, you ask? Imagine managing work in the midst of all the distractions and domestic responsibilities. And the work in itself is far from being simple. It is laden with, well you know, stringent deadlines and extremely high quality goals. Stress becomes inevitable in such a scenario. How do you keep your cool then? Here are some useful tips.

  • Avoid physical discomfort as much as possible. Get yourself a comfortable seat. Your posture can greatly affect the way you feel. A comfortable seat will ensure that you don’t add backache or neck pain to your stress. Avoid getting a pain in your wrists by using ergonomically-enhanced keyboard and mouse.
  • Use only your work-space for work. Having a laptop gives you the flexibility of being mobile. However, avoid working in any place you fancy. Stick to your workspace; it will not only provide you with a proper, noise-free environment but will also help you focus and be productive.
  • Take logical breaks. Avoid sitting in one place for too long. Take a break, walk around your house or garden after finish a logical chunk of tasks.
  • Go on vacations. Plan holidays away from work and home every few months. Vacations will help you rejuvenate you.
  • Spend time with family and friends. Don’t let your work take over your personal life. Spend time with them on a regular basis. Being close to loved ones keeps stress at bay.
  • Pamper yourself. Take out some time for yourself once every week. Spend it on your favorite hobby, or spend it relaxing. You can choose to spend this time any way you like but make sure you get some time for yourself away from work every now and then.
