The medical transcription profession has extremely stringent deadlines. Are you ready to cope with deadlines on a daily basis? While the typical turnaround time is 24 hours, for some tasks, it is less than four hours.
The profession has the highest standards of quality. It expects at least 98 percent accuracy in its work. And it has zero tolerance when it comes to critical errors.
Deadlines and quality goals become monstrous when you are faced with incomprehensible recordings. And you may have to deal with difficult dictations often. Add to this the menace of difficult reviewers. Some reviewers may prolong the review rounds, eating up your time for other tasks.
